POUR L'ART. 1908. 363/4>x193/4> inches, 931/2>x50 cm. Goossens, Brussels. Condition B+ / B: loss in lower right corner and along right edge; tears at edges; restoration in top left corner. Japan. Luns was a painter and a sculptor as well as being a professor of art. He was also a graphic artist and designed about a dozen posters. As a member of Pour l'Art, a Belgian art society founded in 1892, he designed this woodblock announcement for their sixth exhibition. One of two color variations, a red version also exists.
