JACQUES VILLON Femme assise, vue de dos. Pencil and reddish brown crayon on heavy cream wove paper, circa 1905. 470x580 mm; 18½x23 inches. Signed in pencil, lower right recto. With an impression of En Visite (1re planche), aquatint and drypoint, 1905, verso (Ginestet/Pouillon 130). The aquatint signed in pencil, lower right. The aquatint is one of only several proofs. We have found only 3 other impressions at auction in the past 20 years. The last impression sold at Swann, May 6, 2004, sale 2005, lot 599.Auction
